- The skill and experience level of the installers
- The number of windows being installed
- The size of the windows
- The material the windows are made from (for example, wood windows require more time due to needing primer, staining, or painting)

- Whether or not there are obstructions in front of the windows on the exterior of the house
- Furniture challenges around the window openings on the inside of the house
- The amount of water, mold, or wood rot damage around the window

How long does it take to replace one window?
The amount of time it takes to replace one window can vary depending on several factors, such as the size and type of window, the installer's skills, the condition of the opening, and the window's location.
For a standard-size window, around 108 united inches, on the first floor, two installers should be able to replace the window within an hour.
How many windows can be replaced in a day?
When it's time to replace your home's windows, you may wonder how long the process will take. The answer depends on several factors, but your contractor can replace a dozen or more windows daily. Factors such as the size and type of windows and additional features or customizations will affect the time frame. We may also need to prepare the work area before beginning, which can add additional time. You can expect a reputable contractor to work efficiently and effectively to replace your windows as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality.
With all those factors in mind, let me give you the average time frame for window installation on a typical home where the homeowner has selected a reliable company with a custom-built window installed by an experienced professional installer.
After the contract is signed with the contractor, the window openings are measured in many different areas, assuring the manufacturer of the correct measurements. Then the windows are ordered for the custom fit. Roughly 4-5 weeks later, the windows are delivered to the contractor’s warehouse. Once the installation date has been established, a highly skilled window installer can usually install 12-15 windows daily. Thus, the average window job takes approximately 6-8 weeks from start to finish when the contract is signed.
